This registry intends to provide documentation necessary in the preservation of all third generation 5.0 LX Mustangs. The main purpose of this registry is to provide information about all third generation 5.0 Mustangs (Gt's and Cobras included). This information covers such areas as maintenance, technical information, and any other topics of interest to its registrants. Also, we need all 5.0 LX Mustang owners to register their cars in order to have a complete data base. This data base will allow us to provide statistical information on such items as the most popular color, interior trim, options, average mileage, and more.
Gilberto and I founded this registry because we are Mustang enthusiasts. Between the two of us, we own five Mustangs; one GT, three LX 5.0's, and one 2.3L coupe. The third generation 5.0 has definitely earned a special place in Mustang history. Aftermarket companies have reacted to the third generation Mustang with a plethora of parts from rocker arms to urethane bushings designed specifically for the Mustang! The third generation Mustang, in our opinion, is another great classic in the making and by far the best 7/8 finished car for the money!
We would also like to mention a piece of advice here. There are those who modify their Steeds and those who keep them just the way they rolled off the factory floor. We understand both views and there are many arguments in favor of each ideology. However, if you modify your 5.0, please keep all your original parts. You might not realize it now, but take our word for it; someday you will need those parts.
