Engine

The donor car for this project is a 1989 GT Convertible with 52,000 miles. The inteior is in very good condition as is the drive train. The interior is gray leather and the engine is a standard issue 5.0 with a T-5 transmission. Most of the interior and wiring will carry over to the coupe. Some peices will have to be bought or painted to complete the interior. The engine and transmission will fit right into the coupe along with the rear axle. The exhaust system with the exception of the mufflers will also be used.

The car does have low mileage for an 1989 and we would not normally need to do any engine work. However, in this case, the car has been sitting for approximately 6 months. The intenals are probably fine but for the sake of knowledge, we plan to at least drop the oil pan and examine the insides.
